The mic preamp pictured in this ad is the prototype for a series if such devices I have made for myself and others over the years . That particular model is designed for field use, and is thus capable if operating from a single 12 -30 volt supply , such that it can be run from a battery, ie np1, Anton Bauer brick, car battery, whatever . The internal supply rails on that unit are *-18 volt . This preamp circuit can put out +27dB v before clipping . I have made these with Anton Bauer battery plates on top , and have even run them on solar cells. For field work , ie golf , racing , etc . I can make these in just about any form factor you would like , rack mount , "throw down " like the pictured unit ....
